Rena

Rena is a professional teacher, university educated with a background of a secondary school and University language and literature lecturing experience. Been always devoted to dance and passionate about sport in general (Rena has a great experience as a skiing instructor when living in Europe), dancing almost all her life, she has been teaching Belly Dance in Singapore where she has been living for 9 years.

Being a professional instructor of Aerobics, Cardio Salsa and Yoga, Rena cleverly incorporates the knowledge of the optimal combination of muscular and cardio respiratory training. The conditioning and stretching techniques accompany dancing itself, which creates a powerful workout on all physical, emotional and spiritual levels. Rena is a gifted and talented teacher, teaching from her heart using her unique creative style. Her classes are joyful, challenging and encouraging all participants to open their own potential and enjoy relaxation of body and mind. Rena is certified through Singapore Sport Council and through Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana based in Bangalore, India.

Rena represents one of the leading belly dance perforrmer in Singapore. She has been giving a great number of Belly Dance performances (e.g. WOMAD, International BD festivals, Town Clubs, Kallang theatre, hotels, weddings etc) and workshops in Singapore and overseas. Rena does not emulate other dancers, but has her own energetic, creative and holistic artistic style. She encapsulates dynamic and captivating dance.

Hannah

The Exotic looking belly dancer, Hannah will guarantee to wow the crowd with her style and grace. Performing in many different clubs, restaurants and private events Hannah has the ability to capture the crowd in her performance. Hannah has been performing for the past few years is popular with the people. Her captivating performance has seen her going to many places far and wide.

Lily

Lily received private training in Istanbul from internationally acclaimed dancer Hale Cakir. Master in Engineering: National University of Singapore , Singapore Bachelor in Engineering: Shanghai Jiao Tong University , China. Lily is a regular belly dancer for the musicians of Al-Bedouin Middle Eastern Music Ensemble Singapore , appearing with them in over 40 different venues.

Other events at which Lily has performed include Mercure Roxy Park Hotel Appreciation Night, NUS Prince George's Park International Festival, Light Up Bishan, Toastmasters International Anniversary Dinner, Kampung Senang World Harmony Day Celebration, Embedded Systems Conference, (Faculty of Engineering, NUS), NUS Centennial Celebration, Toastmasters Christmas Party, Little India Utsav, Dance Connection Christmas Party, and performed on her own for the Nanyang Technological University Alumni Day.

In addition, Lily has performed at various functions at venues as varied as Singapore Swimming Club, Singapore Recreation Club, Tengah Air Base, Republic of Singapore Yacht Club , Raffles City , and Millennia Walk. Lily also joined Al-Bedouin drummers and other dancers in the Vida Condominium television commercial and has also performed as a middle eastern percussionist; she helped conduct teambuilding workshops for such companies as IBM, OCBC as well as for 500 students at Nanyang Primary School , and performed as a drummer at the Pulses of the Northeast Festival in July 2004.

Lily has also performed as a salsa dancer at events such as the Junior Chamber International Operation Hope Fundraiser, NUS Prince George 's Park International Festival and Citigroup Latin Fiesta. She has also assisted teaching Salsa in GSS-NUS and in Philips, as well as some other private parties. She is also teaching Belly Dance/Salsa in NUS Prince Georges Park-international students hostel.

Gregory & Inessa

Belly dancer Inessa Samoylenko and Arabic tabla drummer Gregory Kalabekov are international artists originated from Kazakhstan and Russia .  Inessa has studied  belly dancing under such international luminaries as Raqia Hassan ( Egypt ), Tamalyn Dallal (USA), and Magdy El-Leisy ( Egypt ). Gregory has studied Arabic tabla playing under Usama Safin ( Lebanon ). They performed at numerous established venues throughout the island. They were featured in The Straights Times, Today, Channel U and Channel 8, most recently for their stunning performance and choreography of Arabic dance at THK Charity Show’07 featured Asian celebrity artists Fann Wong, Apple Hong, Nick Shen and others.

Amit Gilboa

We call him the Darbuka Master. Amit Gilboa performs Middle Eastern percussion on the darbuka (Arabic drum), riq (Arabic tambourine), bendir (Arabic frame drum) and sagat (finger cymbals). Amit’s background includes over a decade of experience as a drummer and multiple private lessons under master percussionists Salah Hibi, Binyamin Olguncan and Hossam Ramzy. His articles on the history and musical signatures of Middle Eastern rhythms have appeared in magazines and websites both in Singapore and abroad.

Some of the public venues at which Amit has performed include WOMAD Singapore 2003 and 2004, six different appearances at the Esplanade (Opening Festival, Flipside 2004 and 2005, Lunchbox, Pesta Raya 2004 and National Day 2005), Singapore Turkey Friendship Association Gala Dinner 2003, 2004 and 2005, Singapore Fashion Festival 2004 and 2006, Holistic Living Festival 2003, 2004 and 2005, Standard Chartered 150th Anniversary, Campus Concerts at both the National University of Singapore and Republic Polytechnic and performances for the Asian Civilisations Museum, National Arts Council, Singapore Tourism Board, and the President of Singapore as well as the Ambassadors to Singapore of Egypt, Turkey and Israel. Amit's international experience includes performances and workshops in Taiwan , Shanghai , Bangkok , Phuket , Malaysia , Hong Kong and Macau . Amit has provided live accompaniment for the performances of many Middle Eastern dancers, including internationally known dancers Keti Sharif and Hale Cakir as well as most of Singapore 's finest Middle Eastern dancers.
